Augusta cemetery board re-elects
officers

Officers of the Augusta Cemetery Board were re-elected for 2006 at a
meeting held last Thursday evening at the home of Garry and Cookie
Witts. They are Garry Witts, president; Glenn Tucker, vice
president; Cassandra Witts, secretary; Bette Brown, treasurer, and
Donna Tucker, cemetery sexton.
It was reported nine cemetery lots were sold last year and more lots
are available for sale. Total Lawn Care was hired to do the
mowing this season.
Bette Brown announced the new website is up and running at
www.augustacemetery-ohio.com. She also said she would like
any pictures of family members buried at Augusta Cemetery to add to
the website.
Work days for cleaning the cemetery, filling sunken graves and
digging overgrown plants have been set for May 13 and 20 from 8 a.m.
to 12 noon.
Anyone owning lots is asked to come and help and wear appropriate
clothing due to poison ivy. Workers also are to take garden
tools, gloves, shovels and other equipment, including water. A
lunch will be furnished.
