October 7th:
On October 7, 2006, the descendants of Taylor and
Emma Paisley Woodward, visited their roots in Augusta. Mary Jo
Woodward, daughter of Emma and Taylor
Woodward, toured the area with her guests, Beverly Ann
Woodward
Eisel, granddaughter of Emma and Taylor, and Joseph William Eisel,
great-grandson. The guests have other roots in Augusta, namely Shaw
and Bettis.
They visited Ralph Hawk of Kensington Road who
presently resides in the former Woodward home where Mary Jo grew
up. Then they visited Bette Ina Brown to check on the Augusta
Cemetery web site. Joe has been gathering information for the web
site and has become an official contributor to the effort. He
resides in Franklin County, Ohio.
The guests gave their approval to this web site
to reproduce the "History of Augusta Township" by
Taylor C. Woodward. It is on the schedule of
"work to be done" so keep checking back for this wonderful addition.
